There’s a little-known island in Thailand where you can get a room for less than a fiver a night and make the most of happy hour cocktails that cost a quid.
With the weather reminding us it's still very much winter in the UK at the moment, many Brits are already thinking about a sunny holiday.
And if you fancy white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters then Ko Muk, an island in Ko Libong, Thailand, might be right up your street.

Although flights can be a bit pricey - you can head from the UK to Bangkok for under £400 - once there you can take advantage of the incredible weather, super cheap prices and all the stunning island has to offer.
While you may have forked out more to get than you would on a trip to Spain or Turkey, you can snorkel, sunbathe or just drink cocktails in the sun for a lot cheaper than you would elsewhere.
According to the Daily Star, cocktails cost around 100baht (£2.26), but during happy hour you can get them for as little as £1, while a dinner for two will set you back less than a tenner and a pint of beer is around 60 to 70baht (£1.35 to £1.48).

If reclining on a beach with a cocktail in-hand isn’t your thing, there’s plenty to keep you occupied, including taking a trip to Morakat Cave, which has its very own beach complete with coral reef, making it the perfect spot for a bit of snorkelling.
There’s also Trang Scuba Diving where you can check out reefs and all manner of sea creatures and if you want to get further out into the water, you can hire a kayak for less than £3.
With food, drink and entertainment boxed off, it’s just accommodation left to sort, right? And it turns out that much like cocktails and food, that’s cheap as chips as well.

If you really want to save your pennies, you can get a five-day stay at a Phusam Big Resort bungalow for just £48, which works out to £4.80 per person per night, if there’s two of you sharing.
Or, if you’re happy to spend a bit more, you can do five days in a private bungalow for £72 for five days. I’ll be right back, just digging out my passport.
