If there’s anyone you want to be ‘really cool’ to, it’s your flight attendants.
After all, you’ll get the best service if they are impressed by your 10/10 flight etiquette.

But if you thought being a cool passenger just meant not taking your shoes off or reclining your seat, it’s a little more than that.
One flight attendant went viral online recently after her TikTok giving ‘green flags’ for passengers surprised many travellers.
Destaine, also known as @destanieaaa, has shared the things which make flying with certain passengers a cool experience.
Respond to the crew who welcome you onboard
Destaine recalled how she enjoys when she has passengers who respond to the crew when welcoming them onboard.

That means no polite nod and scurry to your seat!
The attendant explained that she enjoys when passengers ask how she is and what her plans are and converse with her instead of ignoring her.
She said: “It feels like I’m actually connecting with people… I feel like I never have conversations with passengers.”
Take note of instructions given by flight attendants
Next is how passengers listen to instructions and if they pay attention to what they are being asked to do.

The flight attendant mentioned that they find it ‘really cool’ when passengers comply with baggage in the overhead compartment when asked.
Don't forget those manners
Being quick with their order during service, keeping headphones off when speaking to a flight attendant and being generally polite.

Children who are polite are also high on Destaine’s list as 'there are so many bratty kids these days'… "When kids are well mannered, I’m literally like 'I think I do want kids'."
Be there for the flight crew
The ultimate green flag is a passenger who sticks up for flight crew if someone else if giving them a hard time.
She explained: “I love when a passenger is giving me a hard time and another passenger is observing it and then they make a joke about it.”

Calling these situations 'so funny', Destaine explained it felt nice to be ‘seen’ during difficult moments on the job.
The last thing on Destaine’s list is pretty simple and should be a no brainer to all married men.
Know your boundaries
According to the flight attendant, a green flag is when a married passenger isn’t ‘too friendly’ with the female fight staff.
She said that she loves when married men are friendly but ‘not too friendly’.
She said: “The times that guys have tried to chat me up, they’ve always had a ring on their finger.”
Thanks to her video, a lot of travellers are now aware of how to make their flight attendants have a better day and thanked her for her input.
One person wrote: “Love this post, thank you for the feedback!”
Another commented: “It’s insane to me how many people don’t even say good morning back??”
Someone else chimed in: “I am always so nice to flight attendants, i know how hard customer service is.”
