Harrowing footage has revealed the shocking moment a diver was attacked by a shark underwater in Egypt.
The victim was so shocked that you can actually hear him screaming at the top of his lungs as the sea creature bit down on his leg, filling the surrounding water with blood.
The clip in question was uploaded to YouTube in 2018 by Dan White, who was looking to complete his deep diver certification near Brothers Island in Egypt before a white tip shark approached him.

As the shark made its way over, White's diving group was joined by a group of German divers swimming in the same area, which caused the animal's behaviour to change, as it seemed harmless at first.
The scuba diver spoke to Tracking Sharks at the time, saying that he was filming it as he thought it was 'a cool encounter', even admitting that he had dived with three whitetips the day before with no problem.

White said that he noticed an outlet diver's bubbles go up and apparently 'spooked the shark', which made its way afterwards to 'investigate'.
That's when the trouble began.
The Surrey-based diver went on: “The shark made three [bump] attempts on Ian, but he fended it off each time. After the third bump, one of the German divers came to help Ian.

“The German diver’s buddy saw the shark attempting to have a cheeky nibble on Ian but failed to keep his eye on the shark as it rose to his level and bit his leg. His buddy wrestled the shark off of him, but by that point the damage was done.”
White’s footage has since been released online, and as the white tip closes its jaws around the victim’s calf, a loud scream can be heard, despite the fact the group was 10 metres below the surface of the water.
After the attack, the man was helped to the surface and heaved from the water alongside the other divers.

The man’s calf was ripped to shreds and the shark had not only completely destroyed his calf muscle, but also bitten down to the bone.
Before he was rushed to shore, first responders administered pain medication and applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg, which miraculously didn’t need to be amputated.
Needless to say, YouTubers were quick to express their shock beneath the video, with one person writing: “Very scary footage.”
Another added: “Wow, absolutely terrifying,” while a third penned: “The most chilling part of this is still being able to hear the screaming under water.”
