Being banned from one pub or nightclub is fairly common, but one lad has trumped all the rest by earning himself a ban from every single pub in England after an atrocious act.
The 38-year-old from Nottingham will now be forcibly denied entry into his local and will have an alcoholic monitoring tag for around four months, which may well be a living nightmare for the 'drunken thug' who deservedly landed those punishments this week after a court appearance.
With the summer weather well and truly back, for a week at least, in the UK, a lot of us will be spending our evenings relaxing in sunny beer gardens, with pints in hand but much like Tantalus, that utopia is now thankfully out of reach for 'drunken thug' Paul Ormond.

As per the Nottingham Post, on Thursday, April 3, the 38-year-old was slapped with a two-year suspended prison sentence, as well as a nationwide two-year pub ban, an alcohol monitoring tag for 120 days and a £7,500 fine.

Ormond, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm without intent at Nottingham Crown Court earlier this month, having carried out a savage assault in the Turks Head pub in Nottingham following a day of drinking in July 6 last year.
The 38-year-old admitted assaulting another man in the pub at around 10.40pm following an argument, which left the victim with several fractures in his face.
PC Andrew Sansom of Nottinghamshire Police said: "This was a vicious attack which continues to have a significant impact on the victim to this day.

"We hope the sentencing makes a serious impact on the offender's future choices. Violence is completely unacceptable and we will always do what we can to put perpetrators before the courts."

Ormond will also have to complete 120 hours of unpaid work, and will have his 'sweat monitored' by the tag to ensure that he isn't out getting drunk during his ban.
He is also perhaps lucky to escape any prison time, given previous offences also include assaulting an officer and wounding with intent.
His victim delivered an emotional statement in court, speaking on how the attack left him low on confidence, and also derailed his plans to move abroad.

So perhaps Ormond got off lightly being banned from beer garden pints for two years.
