The DJ who accidentally shot herself in the face with a confetti cannon during a live show has returned to work.
Flavia Ribeiro, better known as DJ Flavinha, was performing in Santa Catarina, Brazil, on Saturday 21 January when things took a painful turn.

In the clip, Ribeiro can be seen working the crowd while unknowingly holding a confetti cannon the wrong way around.

After letting off the cannon, the poor DJ gets a face full of high-speed confetti and was forced to rush off stage.
Ribeiro did return to finish her set, but the pain eventually became too much for her and she left to seek medical attention.
But, somewhat impressively, Ribeiro has returned to the stage less than a week after the incident, which left her requiring hospital treatment.

According to g1, she was back performing on Friday 27 January in Itapema, Brazil.
The DJ said that the viral fame surrounding the confetti cannon incident had led to an unexpected influx of new fans and well-wishes.
She said: "They came to hug me, wish me good things. I received a lot of positive messages. I am very grateful for the affection, I reached a lot of fans. They let them become my fans who are following and accompanying me and who are waiting for my recovery, which is good.”
Shortly after the accident, Ribeiro took to Instagram to share an update on how she was doing and thanked fans for their concern.

In the clip, Ribeiro can be seen with bandages on her neck and a collection of lacerations to her face.
She said: “My video is rolling everywhere. There was an accident.
“I ran behind the sound equipment and kept playing even with a lot of blood dripping, with a lot of pain.

“I threw my hair forward and I stayed there. People on my team wanted to take me out, and I didn't want to leave.”
However, her gallant attempt to tough it out only lasted around 20 minutes, and she admitted that eventually she 'couldn't take any more pain'.
She continued: “I left the stage, went to the emergency room of the event and then to the hospital.
“Now I'm recovering and it's all right.
