Elliot Page fans have flooded to social media in support of The Umbrella Academy's update to its first two seasons.
In the action fiction series the Canadian actor stars as Viktor Hargreeves, a shy violinist who doesn't initially realise he has supernatural abilities.
Ahead of season three, Page came out as transgender and The Umbrella Academy has since made adjustments which are being widely praised by fans of the programme.
Page confirmed he's trans in a statement posted onto his social media channels on 1 December, 2020.

Fans have been left overjoyed by the support Page has received from Netflix's The Umbrella Academy since announcing he is transgender, in particular, the streaming service's decision to input the name 'Elliot Page' into the credits.

"Say what you will about netflix but it’s really touching how they (and the umbrella academy team) went and edited the credits since season one to say “elliot page” when elliot came out," one user said.
Another echoed: "Netflix is pretty sh*t ngl, but the fact that they allowed edits to The Umbrella Academy’s credits to update Elliot Page’s name so he isn’t deadnamed and allowed his character in the show to transition so he can be happy and comfortable too? Good s**t tbh."
A third noted that even if you 'aren't into superhero stuff' they would 'highly recommend watching this season in support of Elliot Page'.

"Not only did the crew go back and change his name in the credits of every past episode but also wrote his transition into the script," they added.
One viewer explained they were 'rewatching' the series 'before the new one comes out' when they noticed the update.
"It's so simple to treat humans with respect. I love it," they said.
Reflecting on his role throughout The Umbrella Academy, Page told Esquire how 'special' it feels to 'play one character for so long' and to 'evolve with a family of characters'.
