A diagnosed narcissist has revealed the 'dead giveaway' that someone else has the same condition, which is known as narcissistic personality disorder.
We all know someone who has a particularly high sense of their own self-importance, or too much 'main character energy' as I believe the kids are calling it these days.
Narcissism might seem like a more modern revelation but the word actually comes from the Greek mythological character Narcissus, who spent his days staring at himself in a lake because he thought he was so beautiful.

He also gives his name to the narcissus flower, which he was eventually turned into, as like him, the flowers can be found close to water and often droop over to look at their own reflection.
Anyway, that's your history lesson for the day.

Doctors have previously identified some of the key signs of a narcissist, which can be particularly helpful when you're on a first date by the way.
However, a narcissist would probably tell you that they know better than a doctor, and when it comes to identifying their own condition, they might just.

A man who goes by the moniker 'The Nameless Narcissist' on TikTok has named the 'dead giveaway' he feels identifies a fellow egotist, and it's something a lot of us do.
Hell, it's something I do, but I'm far too smart and talented to be a narcissist surely?
He says in a recent video: "As a diagnosed narcissist, I don't often try to tell if somebody else is a narcissist out in the wild. There is one thing that, whenever it happens, or I notice it, I can't unsee it.
"Mainly cause I didn't know how abnormal it was until after I was diagnosed."

He went on: "I noticed a lot of people with narcissistic personality disorder like myself have this tendency, where the only way for us to really assess something's worth or have an opinion on it is by comparing it to other things.
"We view the entire world very hierarchically, what is superior, what is inferior right? The moment I walk into a room, I'm ranking everybody around."
So if you've got one mate at the pub who still loves to debate about who was better between Messi and Ronaldo, chances are, he's a narcissist.
But in all seriousness, if you currently rank people you don't know based on attractiveness or charisma like the nameless narcissist confesses to doing, then you should probably stop.
