Heidi Klum Explains Why One Of Her Legs Was More Expensive To Insure

You know you've made it when your legs are getting insured

For most of us, legs are nothing more than humble servants, ferrying us from one tedious errand to another.

But if you're a talented athlete or a beautiful model, they could be worth insuring.

Heidi Klum is one such person who has had the good fortune to have her legs insured, with a client insuring them for no less than $2 million (£1.47 million).

Klum's pins are extremely valuable - one more than the other, apparently.

Interestingly though, one of her pins was deemed more valuable than the other.

Explaining why on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 48-year-old said: "When I was young, I fell into a glass and I have, like, a big scar.

"Obviously I put so much spray tan on right now you can't see it right now but yeah, one was more expensive than the other one.

"It's weird the things that some people do."

Watch here:

Speaking to People in 2017, Klum said that one of her legs was insured for $1 million (£730,000), while the other was insured for $1.2 million (£880,000).

Expanding on her enduring appreciation of her legs, she said: "I always enjoyed, and I still do, wearing super short miniskirts showing off my legs.

"I think legs are sexy. I do like to put a focus on my legs when I go out or when I get onto the red carpet. I do."

Klum recently released a duet with Snoop Dogg - her first song since 2006's 'Wonderland', which was the soundtrack to fashion adverts in Germany.

Having walked the catwalk for decades, she is now hoping to strut her way up the charts with 'Chai Tea with Heidi'.

Explaining how it came about, she told The Sun: "I've done a bit of singing before - on America's Got Talent and once in the past with my ex-husband [Seal] at a show, but putting out my own single is totally out of my comfort zone.

"It started as a theme tune for my show, Germany's Next Top Model, but once we got Snoop Dogg involved and pulled it together we thought, 'Why not put it out properly?'.

"I just love Snoop, I'm a huge fan so I couldn't be more excited."

She continued: "It has been the most amazing experience to try something new. I've always liked to push my boundaries and scare myself a bit.

"I've obviously done lots of performances on catwalks, I've shown off my body and done shoots without my clothes on, but this is probably the most daunting thing.

"But I'm very proud of it - I got in touch with all the people involved and organised it myself, so it feels like all my own hard work has paid off."
