Johnny Depp's ex-wife has spoken out about the actor's defamation trial and made it clear she still supports him.
Lori Allison married the actor in 1983, and though the couple divorced two years later they have remained close, and she's now given her verdict on the defamation trial between Depp and Heard.
Last year, a jury determined that Heard's claims about Depp in a 2018 op-ed piece for The Washington Post where she said she was a victim of domestic abuse were defamatory, awarding him $15 million in damages.

Depp had not been named in the article, while a countersuit from Heard was also awarded $2 million in damages.
In 2020, Depp had lost a libel case in the UK against The Sun newspaper after he sued them for calling him a 'wife beater'.
Lori said it 'broke her heart' to see her ex-husband in court and was 'terrified' that he might be on the losing side.

Speaking to Popcorned Planet, the 65-year-old said she'd met Heard before and followed the proceedings of the defamation trial.
She said: "I had met her before, I'd been to parties at his house and she seemed really nice and she was gorgeous and what's not to love?
"But as the time went by and I would hear things about her - she who shall not be named - he didn't seem too happy all the time. I didn't see him a lot so I can't really say.
"The things that affected me more were the things he said in court - I probably broke down several times because I felt really bad for him.

"He's very private - which is why I don't do interviews - and I think for him to come out so wholeheartedly was what he really needed to do.
"I thought it was either going to be an epic train wreck or it was going to go really well."
Lori then said she'd 'done my share of s**tty things to people' but denounced Heard's actions as 'absolutely horrific' and claimed 'if there were things that I could do to her that were legal I would do them'.

Amber Heard had filed an appeal against the verdict of the defamation trial but in December settled the matter with Depp, saying it was 'not an act of concession' as a deal was agreed where she would pay $1 million.
She said it had been 'a very difficult decision' and wrote that it was 'important for me to say that I never chose this'.
LADbible has contacted Amber Heard's representatives for a comment.
