For years people have been calling on Nando's to stick something very particular on their menu and now their prayers seem to have been answered.
And it's not some sort of lethally spicy new type of chicken wing to shake up the wing roulette which would require you to quaff several litres of water to stop your tongue from burning.
No, it's something you can get at plenty of other restaurants, but there'd be nothing quite like guzzling down a portion alongside some of Nando's chicken.

They teased the upcoming announcement on social media and it's not really the toughest clue to crack, so they seem to be dropping any pretence of it being some sort of secret.
Nando's posted the clue below as part of the announcement, which by the way, is not the proper way to play hangman because if this is what we think it is, there's some letters to fill in which they've already used.
It's not hard to figure out that this almost certainly says 'fully loaded chips', which for the initiated is a portion of chips (surprise, surprise) covered in all sorts of delicious stuff loaded on top.

Fully loaded chips tend to come with some kind of meat and cheese coating along with a plethora of other yummy ingredients all packed together for the sort of meal that would give a dietician a heart attack, but taste so great they wouldn't much care about anything else.
What with this being Nando's, you could probably expect a base of their piri-piri fries with a gastronomical concoction of foods and spices loaded atop it.
Perhaps this is a good time to pitch the idea of fully loaded halloumi fries?

And plenty of Nando's fans were ecstatic at the news, with many responding to the announcement by writing 'FULLY LOADED CHIPS' in all caps.
Clearly they're going to be a popular item given the incredibly positive reaction to the clues.
However, others thought it was a good time to capitalise on the apparent changes coming to the menu and thought it an opportune moment to make suggestions.
One person told the restaurant chain to 'bring back red pepper dip then we'll talk', and quite a lot of people demanded that Nando's bring the dip back as soon as possible.

While others demanded that they 'bring back mango and lime', and someone else was a big fan of the churrasco thigh burger.
More called for creamy salad dressing to make a comeback, so it seems like Nando's has a bit of work to do before their menu reaches the zenith of perfection.
