A doctor has given an update on Barnabas Varga's condition after a sickening collision during a Euro 2024 game.
The Hungarian striker collided with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn during the Euros match in Stuttgart, Germany, on Sunday (23 June).
His team ended up beating the tartan army but the football match was stopped for about seven minutes as Varga was left lying motionless on the pitch.

Players from both sides surrounded him to form a protective wall as blankets were held up to shield the striker from the cameras across the ground.
He was taken off on a stretcher and later taken to hospital. And when his side scored the winning goal of the match, his teammates held up Varga's shirt in support.
And in a recent update, according to local Hungarian media, Varga has been visited in hospital by his club's team doctor, Gergely Panics.

"Barni suffered a concussion during the collision and lost consciousness," Panics revealed to Magyar Nemzet.
"By the time he reached the ambulance, he had already regained consciousness, after which he was taken to the clinic in Stuttgart, where, after the examination, a therapeutic plan was drawn up, according to which he would be operated on.
"Our striker suffered multiple facial skull fractures, several smaller and larger bones were broken in his face, and some were even dislocated.
"After the operation, he will be kept in for two days. If everything goes well, he will be released on Wednesday."

Shortly after the team's win yesterday, the Hungarian Football Association released a statement to announce: "Barnabas Varga's condition is stable!
"The player of Ferencvaros is currently in one of the hospitals in Stuttgart! We will inform you immediately if there is any news about its status!"
It later confirmed the player had broken 'several bones' in his face due to the collision, as well as suffering from a concussion.

"The striker is most likely to undergo surgery. He spends the night in the hospital in Stuttgart. The whole team is rooting for him!" it added.
Following the match, Varga's teammate and Hungary captain Dominik Szoboszlai spoke out about the incident, as he said he was 'one of the first people there' adding Varga was struggling to 'get enough air'.
"I was shocked myself, I tried to put him on his side, which is actually the best thing you can do in situations like this. I have no idea what the protocol is, whether people are not allowed to run onto the pitch if we need help."
