A diehard footy fan has admitted he still doesn't regret his Euro winners tattoo despite last night's gut-wrenching result.
In case you needed to be reminded, England fell short in the Euro 2024 final last night to Spain (14 July), losing 2-1 with Mikel Oyarzabal bagging the winner four minutes from time.
Cole Palmer managed to level the score after Nico Williams' opener after half-time for Spain, but it's a similar feeling of falling just short for the Three Lions, who have lost in a Euro final yet again.

The wait for a major trophy goes on, and by the time the 2026 World Cup arrives, it will officially be 60 years since 1966 when England's men's team won their only major trophy.
It's continued heartbreak for England fans, who firmly believed that football was coming home, but we've all been here before, let's be honest.
Several pundits and fans turned on Southgate, while others placed the blame on some of the side's big players that seemingly went missing when it mattered most.

However, some fans were happy with the fact that England reached their second final in the last three tournaments, but none more so than Dan Thomas, a 29-year-old from Swindon, Wiltshire.
He got the words 'England Euro 2024 Winners' tattooed on his thigh, even posing with the ink in his undies and an England flag to really show his support.
Thomas got inked just days prior to the final, but also revealed that he doesn't intend to cover it up despite the result.

He says that he is confident the Three Lions will win the Euros in 2028, and that's when he plans to alter his tattoo to fit the occasion.
A data consultant by trade, Thomas explained: "We came close, I don't regret the tattoo.
"If anything, I don't think it'd be hard to change the four into an eight in four years' time. I won't be covering it up. Absolutely no regrets and I still love it."

Reflecting on the final, he said it was 'bittersweet', praising Southgate's men for reaching another major final.
"Bittersweet after the game, the result wasn't what we wanted, but a great achievement to reach yet another final.
"It's only a matter of time before we win something.
"I think England played well. I'd say [Marc] Guehi was the stand-out player in the match, however [Kobbie] Mainoo has made the difference over the course of the tournament."

He also said that other fans should follow in his footsteps to get their own tattoos to support the team before the next tournament kicks off.
Thomas did highlight that others' opinions don't really bother him though.
"I don't really tend to look at the comments on my tattoo. Other people's opinions don't phase me," he said.
"I'd encourage others to do the same in following tournaments to get behind the team."
It turns out that Thomas almost got a similar tattoo prior to the previous Euro final in 2021 when England faced Italy.
