Kate Abdo's ex-boxer boyfriend has sent a brutal warning to Jamie Carragher over his controversial joke aimed at the couple.
The ex-Liverpool star turned football pundit received a fair bit of backlash for making a bizarre joke during CBS' Champions League coverage of Arsenal vs Porto earlier this month.
On the field, Arsenal beat Porto 4-2 on penalties to reach their first Champions League quarter-final in 14 years.

Off the pitch, lead presenter Abdo was joined alongside Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry, as usual.
Although the group aren't afraid to take the mickey out of each other, fans thought the former defender went too far on this occasion.
Post-match, Carragher had an Arsenal top on and suggested that Abdo should wear it.

The Manchester United fan declared her loyalty to the club and made it clear she wouldn't be putting it on.
"No I'm loyal," the presenter responded.
Carragher then dropped in a savage joke about Abdo's relationship with American boxing trainer, Malik Scott.

"Loyal to who? Not to Malik," Carragher said, bringing everyone on set to a complete silence.
Henry and Richards didn't know where to look.
Describing Carra as her middle brother, Abdo said a day later: "Does he go too far sometimes? Absolutely. But does he apologise? Yes he does.
"But we all have that one annoying family member that we still love and accept."

Now, the presenter's boyfriend has addressed the situation with a bit of fighting talk.
The 38-3 ex-boxer told Lord Ping: "The only problem I have with things like that is if Kate feels some kind of way about it, she handled it very well.
"I thought Jamie was just being himself, sometimes he can have a runny mouth, sometimes he's not that good at reading the room, sometimes he's someone that can make beyond sarcastic jokes and it comes across as digging a little bit, especially if you're dealing with a woman.

"But I don't take it personal, it did not enter our home, it really was nothing, but in those types of situations my concern is more about Kate and her feelings, she is someone I'm very much in love with, so once I saw how she handled it, me and her discussed it, and that was that."
However he also warned: "As long as Kate is happy, I have no problem. Now if he makes Kate upset then I have a serious problem and he'll get a call from me, and if he doesn't pick up my call I'll show up in a physical manner for him."
Scott is clearly a man who you don't want to p*** off.
