An influencer, 30, who appeared to post pictures in the same holiday location as Lamine Yamal, 17, has cleared the air over dating rumours.
The wonderkid footballer has been enjoying some downtime in Italy after his team lost out to Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final earlier this month (8 June).
Like any teen, the Barcelona forward has posted a photo dump of his vacation on Instagram, but fans have been paying close attention to two particular pictures.
Yamal shared two images of himself, one chilling on his phone poolside with a long tree in the background and another on a yacht with a mountain in the background.
Fati Vázquez, a content creator and flight attendant from Spain, also shared a couple of pictures which appear to be in those exact two spots.
Lamine Yamal, 17, shared this picture on Instagram (Instagram/@lamineyamal) The same tree is seen in Vázquez's photo (Instagram/@fativazquezd) According to reports, this has sparked rumours on social media that the two are in a relationship.
Since then, the content creator has responded to the criticism she's received, which included death threats.
Reacting to negative speculation online, Vázquez said on Instagram: "It's sad to see how some people carry so much darkness inside that they get to wish death on someone they don't even know.
"What others project speaks more about them than me. I choose to live with purpose, continue to grow and surround myself with light.
"To those who wish me evil, I wish them healing, because no one who is well with himself wishes to destroy another."
Yamal was pictured having some downtime in Italy (Instagram/@lamineyamal) Gossip expert and fellow influencer Javi de Hoyos, who claims to have spoke to Yamal, says the winger 'categorically denies that he's with her; he says they have nothing going on'.
"Lamine didn't go to this vacation spot alone, but with other Barca teammates," he added.
LADbible Group has contacted Lamine Yamal and Fati Vázquez's representatives for comment.
Yamal is said to be single after he reportedly split from his girlfriend and TikTok star Alex Padilla last year.
Vázquez shared a statement on Instagram to her 400,000 followers (Instagram/@fativazquezd) The pair were pictured celebrating on the pitch together when Spain won Euro 2024 following his incredible display in the tournament.
Although he's in contention to win the Ballon d'Or after such an incredible season, Yamal has played down expectations.
"People have the wrong concept of the Ballon d'Or," he told 'Cadena Ser' before the Nations League semi-final against France and fellow contender Ousmane Dembele.
"The Ballon d'Or is not for the one who wins a match, it's for the best player of the year."
He added: "For me, if people want to vote for the one who wins the match, perfect. I think Spain will win. It's up to the people and, whatever happens, I will continue to enjoy football and have a good time."
