Every four years, we suddenly all become gymnastics experts, athletic pros and swimming specialists.
I mean, obviously - the Olympics just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t all sit and criticise it. Or cheer, or scream, or, let’s be honest, have a little cry.
But it’s not just the doting eyes of the nation and adoration of fans that Team GB benefit from, as one athletics star is ‘set to make £10 million’ after competing at the coveted games.

Molly Caudery competes in the pole vault event and is the 2024 World Indoor champion with this year being her first time at the Olympics. And while the Team GB athletes don’t necessarily win any money to go with their medals, an expert reckons the 24-year-old is in for a hefty pay day.
The vaulter is already an Adidas athlete a silver Commonwealth Games medal and bronze European Athletics Championships medal to her name.
Currently holding the British national record for the women’s pole vault with a best of 4.92m experts reckon success at the Olympics will see both her stardom and wealth increase.

Caudery has a sport science degree under her belt and was reportedly signed to W Model Management earlier this year.
And sports finance expert Rob Wilson told investment platform Saxo he reckons the Brit could make a tidy £1,000,000 from athletics alone with potential to times that by 10 by capitalising on her name.
“Most athletes have alignments with other sectors - where philosophy and skills meet. For Molly, the connections with modelling present unique marketing opportunities for endorsing products and propelling her own personal brand forward,” he explained.

"Success at the Olympics helps activate these opportunities, but more importantly, if she comes across on camera well, and can generate interest in herself, then brands follow.
"If she maintains her sporting commitments, as with Keely, we would be talking about earnings in excess of £10m.
"If linked to modelling and its associated industries, this figure could be ten times that."
Caudery has already racked up 290k Instagram followers where she shares both sporting snaps and personal pics in stylish fits. Although, she previously said she doesn’t know where her big following ‘really came from’.

And as many of us know, a bigger social media presence often leads to a bigger cash flow thanks to sponsored posts and ads.
But for now, the Olympics are certainly her priority as she told Eurosport it has been her ‘absolute dream’.
“And I’m really getting to live it,” Caudery added.
