Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan proved he is a man of the people when he was spotted by a fan ahead of his record-breaking win at the UK Championship.
Two days before he turns 48, he became the oldest-ever winner of the tournament thanks to his 10-7 victory over Ding Junhui on Sunday (3 December).
He secured his eighth title in York three decades after he became the youngest player to win the UK Championship, which he managed when he was just 17 years old.

O'Sullivan, fondly known as 'Rocket Ronnie', bagged four half-centuries and two centuries to earn the £250,000 top prize.
He is already regarded as one of the most successful players in the history of the sport, but his latest win was just the icing on the cake of an incredible career.
You would imagine that the current world number one has got some epic celebrations planned, especially since his latest win has come right on top of his birthday.
But O'Sullivan prefers to mark the occasion in a much simpler way - starting with a 'couple of Snickers'.

Before the start of the tournament, he said he would be happy honouring his win with a bit of chocolate, a 'bag of crisps and a Diet Coke on the motorway on the way home'.
It seems that despite his fame, O'Sullivan isn't shy about using public transport either while he was out and about in York on Friday (1 December) - and he preferred to puff on a cigarette rather than snacking on his favourite treats.
An excited fan spotted him looking lowkey at a bus stop and rushed over to give the snooker champ some encouragement.

Putting his arm around O'Sullivan, the buzzing bloke exclaimed: "Look who I've got here! My Ronnie O'Sullivan, the star man. My blessed boy, the world legend of snooker champion. I've got him right here mate.
"Oh my god, I can't believe I met you, you know. I was looking out for you. Bless you!"
Despite being a bit camera shy, O'Sullivan looked pretty chuffed with the praise he received on the side of the pavement - even if it interrupted his smoke.

Social media users could hardly believe he was waiting for a bus despite all the money he's got in the bank - especially now that another £250,000 is coming his way.
One said: "The best snooker player and one of the best British sportsman of all time, who just received a cheque for 250k yesterday, seen at a bus stop with a fag."
Another added: "Proper sportsman and man of the people."
A third wrote: "Very, very nice guy. Look how humble he is."

A fourth chimed in: "You're one lucky guy mate... he's an absolute legend."
And a fifth commented: "He's so down to earth. The GOAT."
Others shared their amusement at the candid clip and dubbed O'Sullivan 'a hero' and a 'top bloke'.
