"What's done is done when we say it's done," Ethan Hunt once said as the Mission Impossible star is reportedly set to light up this year's Olympic Games.
Before we sign off from the Paris Olympics, Tom Cruise could soon play a 'crucial role' in the iconic sporting event.
While fans would have spotted him cheering on Team USA's and gymnastics GOAT Simone Biles in the crowd, sources suggest that the actor has been undergoing talks to work on a top-secret project for the closing ceremony.

According to TMZ, the three-time Golden Globe award winner is set to perform a massive stunt at the Paris Games, with the 2028 Games in LA in mind.
During the closing ceremony on 11 August, the outlet claims that Cruise will perform a crazy skydiving stunt as a hand-off to the American state, which will be hosting the Games in four years time.
TMZ say that the 62-year-old will swing from the top of the Stade de France to land in the stadium's field. Meanwhile, the official Olympic flag will be in tow the entire time.

That's when a two-minute, pre-recorded segment is reportedly set to pop up on screen to show the film star fly to his next stop, LA.
The publication also shared photos of the star practising the alleged stunt on 16 March, 2024.
Cruise previously made his mark on the event at the 2004 Athens Olympics, as he was filmed carrying the Olympic torch during its relay.

The traditional torch relay usually precedes every Olympic Games, paying homage to the ancient Olympics taking place in the modern era. At the time, Cruise brought a bit of Hollywood glamour to the historic event.
LADbible Group has contacted a representative of Tom Cruise for comment.
While Cruise is set to allegedly close off the Olympics, we can't forget how bizarre the opening ceremony was, along the banks of the river Seine.
Despite the expected performances from Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, one moment got viewers talking.

This was the bizarre half naked 'blue scrotum' man who was lying on a platter of fruit.
But it turns out the reason behind this is due to a nod to ancient Greek origins.
The blue man happened to be French singer-songwriter Philippe Katerine, 55, who became a household name in France back in the 2000s with his catchy dance music.

At the opening ceremony, he sang 'Nu', translating as 'naked', which makes it all make a little more sense.
The performance itself was supposedly inspired by the Greek god of wine and revelry called Dionysus.
