You'll notice that Tom Cruise appears to be one of the most media-trained celebs out there.
He always looks so calm and composed, both on screen and off it.
But you may also remember the time he felt one interviewer 'stepped over the line'.

So much so that the actor's team reportedly banned the journalist from the red carpet list for Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning in 2023.
“Anyone connected to ‘That Interview’ was scratched off [the list], and Peter Overton was certainly among the people who didn’t get an invite,” a source told Woman's Day.
Overton was the host of 60 Minutes Australia and was on hand in 2005 to ask Cruise about his views on Scientology and his divorce from Nicole Kidman.

The pair were married from 1990 to 2001 and adopted two children together.
Now, the Aussie journo reportedly had to attend a four-hour crash course on the religion in preparation for the interview.
He asked: "Do you feel discriminated against when people say 'this is what Scientology is.' That you're a bunch on the lunatic fringe?"
"Peter," Cruise said.

"Tom," Overton added.
"No one's ever said that to me," Cruise replied.
Well if you think that's awkward, the conversation then turned to Kidman, and Overton asked if she was the love of Cruise's life, if he wants her to remarry, and whether they have a relationship where they talk professionally about each other's work.

"Listen, here's the thing Peter," Cruise said. "You're stepping over the line, you know you are."
"I suppose it's a question that people want to know..." he said.
However, Cruise did not hold back by repeating, 'Peter, Peter,' over the top of him.
"You want to know. Take responsibility for what you want to know. Don't say what other people... this is a conversation I'm having with you right now. So I'm just telling you right now, put your manners back in."

"Do you think I was out of line?" Overton asked.
"Yes, absolutely," Cruise responded.
Well, years later, Overton was asked about reportedly not being invited the red carpet even, to which he told Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie: "I wouldn’t have a clue about…
"We didn’t get an invite. But I also had another thing to do: the six o’clock news."
"It certainly caused a stir," he added.
"Every now and then it pops up. And you know, I’ve always said I like Tom, I think he’s amazing what he’s done with Top Gun Maverick. I’ve seen that a couple of times.
"Mission: Impossible I can’t wait to see. And the bottom line is, he’s a great actor, what he’s done for Hollywood, you know, in a really tough period with Covid and so on.
"He has put the big screen movies back in the cinemas in a huge way. And we’re all going to see them."
