It’s fair to say if there’s one thing we can all agree causes a nightmare with our phones, when they run out of battery.
Sometimes it feels like no matter how long you’ve charged them for they end up running low way earlier than planned.

And sure, you might try out hacks to make it last longer or carry round your charger in your bag, but if you’re out and about you can’t exactly sit by a plug and wait for it to fill up.
But iPhone users are now amazed to discover a charging life hack they wish they’d tried before.
In 2023, Apple released the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max with its range of new features.

Alongside the likes of sharper photos and an ‘action’ button replacing the old ring/silent switch, it also features the new USB-C port.
From here on out, all Apple products will be made with this port to replace the lightning cable and port you might have on your iPhone.
This change had to be made due to new European Union regulations – which many people say the tech company weren’t exactly thrilled by.
The European Council ruled that all new smartphones, cameras and any electronic gadgets being marketed in the EU must feature a USB-C charging port by autumn this year.

And so, Apple had to follow these rules and feature it on all their products in order to carry on selling in Europe.
The change comes with quite the hack for users, as you can charge your other devices with your iPhone.
You can actually charge other phones that also have a USB-C port using your own. So, next time your AirPods make that beeping sound and die, you can simply plug them into your phone and get them charged again.

In a viral tweet, an Apple customer demonstrated charging ‘an iPhone from another iPhone’.
And users were shocked as they wrote: “Wait… what?”
As another said of the hack: “Whoa. Nifty. That’s in ‘press and hold spacebar to insert the cursor’ territory of cool.”

Another added: “That’s how you show somebody that you really love them.”
Others did point out that it’s been available on Androids for some time as they wrote: “Always fun to watch iPhone users get excited over things Android users have had or been doing for years.”
But hey, it’s still a handy hack.
