Uber customers are finding out how they have been rated individually by drivers that have given them a ride, and the results have left a few people absolutely horrified.
Wondering how to check for yourself? You can find out in the video below:
Pretty much anyone who has been on a night on the drink will have a vague memory of a time they felt a bit embarrassed about their taxi ride home.

That’s not to say you’re not entitled to a bit of a drink if you want, and perhaps you didn’t even do anything wrong, but there’s something about getting a lift from someone who is completely sober when you aren’t that can create a bit of anxiety.
Of course, some people are just liabilities when they are drinking and get in a cab, but usually the taxi driver doesn’t get a chance to rate their experience with you.
That is, until Uber came along.
Nowadays, Uber riders are rated exactly the same as we rate the drivers, and you can find out exactly how you’ve done on those ratings in the app.

As explained in the video – shared by TikTok user @emmatainment – you just have to go into the privacy settings and look at how you use Uber.
There, you’ll find a button you can press to reveal how you have been rated for your last 500 trips.
So, are you willing to do that?

In some cases, it might just be better not to know.
Just remember, you have no idea why the driver rated you with just one star, and unless you can remember every single Uber journey you’ve ever taken, you might be destined to remain none the wiser.
Anyway, after seeing how to read their results, loads of people have been left shocked at the low esteem in which some of their drivers have held them.
One person wrote: “I have 24 and I legit am a silent rider who is NEVER late.”

Another commented: “I HAVE 33 (1) STAR! Like I hardly even stare at them I wonder why I did…”
While a third said: “I have four 1 star reviews. Like WHAT WAS THE REASON?! I literally just sit back and mind my business.”
We may never know, that’s why you should think carefully before deciding whether you actually want to take a look.
There is another side to this, of course.

You shouldn’t be acting up in the taxi in the first place, which is why you probably have some one-star reviews.
In fact, both drivers and riders who consistently rate badly can have their access to the app taken away from them.
There’s a whole load of stuff in Uber’s legal documents that explains conduct that is simply out of order, but no hard-and-fast confirmation about what point they’ll stop you using Uber altogether.
So, tread carefully, be nice, and leave the occasional tip.
That way, you’ll never have to worry about checking your Uber ratings again.
