A man was left totally confused by a flat above a shop, claiming you’d need to be ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to figure out how they work.
See if you can figure out how it all works below:
To be fair, a knock on one of the doors would almost certainly clear things up.

Still, that would be a bit weird, right?
Can’t just go about knocking on people’s doors to find out how their house works.
Basically, the houses are on the side of a shop, and the shop extends right back through the house.
Tacked onto the side are two doors which seem to lead right into the shelves of the shops.

One person who spotted it was definitely a bit bemused by the whole thing.
Taking to TikTok, the man – called Stefan – said: “Right, how does this house work?
“We’ve got two houses there, but the shop is here and the shop goes all the way back there.
“So, when they go through their house door, where the hell are they going?”

As many people have pointed out, it probably isn’t rocket science, is it?
“It doesn't take a genius,” pointed out another commenter.
To this comment, the original poster came back writing: “What does it take? An Alice in Wonderland?”

Actually attempting to answer the question, someone else wrote: “It’s probably a maisonette.
“So they have stairs up to the top floor.”
“The house is probably a flat, stairs to the left as soon as you go into the door,” another agreed.
In short, the stairs must go off to the side, leading the people who live there into their flat, rather than some sort of space/time defying mythical portal.

Again, just knock on the door and find out if you want to get a definitive answer, but it would be a bit of a weird thing to do.
Since the post was shared around a day ago, the man seems to have captured people’s imagination, at the very least.
The post has been liked nearly 25,000 times, receiving more than 1,000 comments in the process.
“Important people asking important questions,” read another of those 1,000 or so comments.
Perhaps he’s right, and there is something fishy going on.
Perhaps we’ll just never know.
