Pensioner Iris Jones appears to have taken a fresh swipe at her 37-year-old ex-husband in a new clip in which she shows off her ‘clever’ cat Mr Tibbs.

Iris hit headlines across the globe when she went public with her relationship with Egyptian toyboy Mohamed Ibriham.

The grandmother took part in several interviews in which she spoke excruciatingly openly about her love-life, including one appearance on This Morning in which she admitted she was left feeling ‘saddle sore’ following a night of passion.

The couple tied the knot in 2020, with Ibriham securing a visa and moving in with his new bride at her bungalow in Weston-super-Mare.

But their love wasn’t built to last and Iris announced their split last month, saying that she was ‘better off without him’.

In the wake of her new-found singledom, Iris got herself a cat - named Mr Tibbs - who she has branded the ‘love of her life’.

In a clip shared to Facebook yesterday (2 August), Iris praised the ‘clever boy’ for being able to help himself to his pouches of cat food.

And, in an apparent swipe at her ex, she captioned the clip: “My boy, Mr Tibbs is cleverer than any men I know!”

Responding to another Facebook user, Iris seemed to double down writing: “Much cleverer than you know who!” alongside a string of crying-laughing emojis.

Iris has previously admitted that she wishes she had listened to her loved ones when they warned her about the relationship.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Iris said that while they had previously enjoyed wild nights of passion - during which they’d get through an entire tube of KY Jelly - things slowed down when they got married and Ibriham was living in the UK.

She told the news outlet: "We used to have a great sex life but then it dwindled to nothing because I was always so tired from looking after him. I would do all his cooking, cleaning and tidying.

“I'm better off without him, and I wish I had listened to my family and friends but what's done is done now. I do regret meeting him and I now know that my best husband was my first husband Gwyn.

“But now, no way, never again, once bitten twice shy as they say. I'm happy just being here on my own with my Bengal cat Mr Tibbs, he's the new love of my life. I'm glad I've got rid of Mohamed.”
