Hertfordshire police have confirmed that Kyle Clifford has been arrested on suspicion of murdering three women, Carol Hunt and her daughters Hannah and Louise.
The police had previously said that a crossbow had been recovered as part of their investigation.
The murder suspect remains in a serious condition in hospital, and police confirmed that they had made the arrest last night (11 July).

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ family at this tragic time.
“The investigation is moving at pace and as a result, we have now arrested a man. Enquiries are continuing at this time.”
The murder suspect had been found injured in the Hilly Fields area of Enfield on Wednesday (10 July) after a manhunt which had lasted several hours.

That had followed the discovery of 61-year-old Carol and her daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25 fatally injured at a home in Bushey, Hertfordshire at around 7pm on the Tuesday (9 July) evening.
They are the family of BBC racing commentator John Hunt.
Police officers and paramedics attended the scene, but in a previous statement Hertfordshire Police confirmed the sad news that the three women 'died a short time later at the scene'.
Clifford, who is understood to have left the British Army in 2022, was found the following day in the area of a cemetery and taken to hospital.

Tributes to the three women have poured in from many places.
Local councillors for the area Louise Nicolas, Alan Matthews and Paul Richards said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news that three women have lost their lives in a violent incident which took place in the heart of our local community.
“As North Bushey councillors, we extend our thoughts and condolences to their families and all those affected."

Colleagues and friends said that the Hunts were a 'lovely family' and a childhood friend of Carol said she was a 'beautiful person'.
Lea Holloway said: "She was the nicest, kindest, sweetest person you could ever meet. A beautiful person.”
"They were a lovely family and (the daughters) were lovely girls.
“They were making their way through life and their lives have been taken too soon. It’s the thing of nightmares.

“I feel for their eldest daughter and John. I can’t imagine what it would be like.”
Since the horrific murders of Carol, Hannah and Louise flowers were left at the scene.
