Everything just feels so expensive all the time lately. If I step out of the house it seems like at least £10 immediately leaves my bank account.
And that’s not even considering the amount of cash that goes out of my account just to be in a functioning house.
Because unless you’re lucky enough to have a fair chunk of money to your name, looking for a place to buy or rent can be a nightmare. Landlords can be a pain, bills can be extortionate and the place itself can be a sh*thole.

So, people often look for, well, less than typical options to save some money from living on a boat to living in a shed.
And now, a one-bedroom home inside a shipping container has gone up for sale on eBay for a bargain price.
Yep, a shipping converter. At 20x8ft in size, the thing’s been converted into a one-bedroom home complete with a kitchen and bathroom.

Hey, I mean if you’re totally sick of searching the property market for somewhere affordable but still liveable to rent and if you don’t want to go through the buying a house method, I guess this is a pretty decent option.
It seemingly has everything you need, with dimmable light switches, plenty of plug sockets, two extractor fans so things won’t get too steamy and all the fittings you need for a TV and Wi-Fi.
Rather fancy for a shipping container, there’s ‘internal cottage oak doors with sliding wall fittings’ as well as fixing points for wall mounted furniture.

The bathroom’s even got an electric shower with a LED mirror.
With laminate flooring throughout and a window, it still has the ‘sealing of the original shipping container doors’.
How’s that for an alternative living arrangement?
