It’s every traveller’s worst nightmare: accidentally leaving your passports behind and arriving at the airport empty-handed.
For one woman, this scenario became her waking reality as she was about to jet off on her honeymoon with her husband.
However, one quick-thinking flight attendant was able to help the newlyweds' dreams take flight and get the important paperwork to them in the nick of time.

At the time, Lawyrn Fellwock was on a Delta flight from Detroit to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she would embark on the luxurious cruise.
Travelling with her husband Joe, the young woman was horrified to discover she’d forgotten her passport – meaning the honeymoon was over before it had even begun.
Inconsolable and without the all-important doc, the young woman was seemingly set to be stranded on the US island – however, one kind flight attended intervened.

Delta worker Dusty Dills offered to retrieve the passport, picking it up in the motor city before passing it to another staff member in Atlanta.
They would then make the journey to San Juan allowing the newlyweds to make their dream getaway.
Speaking about his kind act on the Delta website, Dills said: “It’s so easy to go throughout the day and do what’s expected of you at work, but (I always try to ask myself) ‘what can I do to make that difference in someone’s life?’”
Understandably, travellers have been more than a little impressed with the flight attendant’s ability to go the extra mile.

Delta even shared the touching story on Facebook, with many gushing about the kind gesture in the comments.
One user excitedly wrote: “THIS is the kind of news story I love to see in my feed!!”
Another added: “In my experience with Delta Air Lines this is just the kinda spirit the team has from the top down. Which is why I’m a loyal flyer. Love to see the humanity."

Even Dills’ colleagues got involved, with one writing:: “Not just anyone would do this, but Dusty is that guy! I LOVE him. One of the best to work with! He deserves the recognition”
The newlyweds were also eternally grateful for Dills’ amazing problem-solving skills, which saw Delta colleagues collaborate over thousands of miles.
“We were so touched and grateful,” the couple told the press: “A renewed faith in humanity was the best wedding gift.”
We are just glad the couple were able to get married life off to a flying start.
