People are convinced that Gettysburg is the 'most haunted place' on the face of the planet.
The historic site has come under the spooky microscope once again after footage re-emerged of ghostly figures lurking in the barren landscape. Don't believe us? Check it out for yourself:
In the viral clip, which captured by Greg Yuelling, who was visiting the famous battleground with his kids and two uncles a few years back, some alleged ghosts can be seen having a grand old time.

Understandably, pretty perturbed by the encounter, Greg decided not to linger when confronted by the undead, wound up his window, and left.
And as you'd imagine, the footage left an impression on those who've seen it, with many already certain that Gettysburg is chocker with ghosts.
It's not even just Greg who's seen them either.

Taking to TikTok, others have shared their own clips of strange apparitions appearing at the spot.
Reacting to another video, which was filmed in the day and shows a couple of figures walking through the grass, one shocked viewer remarked: "Gettysburg is flat out the most haunted place on Earth."
Another chimed in: "I was a re-enactor in the movie Gettysburg in 93. The energy that you could feel from that battlefield was absolutely unnerving."
"I went on a ghost walks while visiting Gettysburg, to old field hospitals, and I definitely captured some faces in windows staring at me."

While someone else added: "I was just at Gettysburg; driving in the middle of the battlefield we heard little kids laughing and yelling. We were the only ones there."
Don't know about you, but that all sounds very legit to me, folks.
But while the existence of ghosts is up for debate - I guess - one thing that is certainly true is the death and destruction witnessed at Gettysburg.

The Battle of Gettysburg was fought between Union and Confederate forces during the American Civil War in July 1863.
The three-day bloodbath resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 people - along with 5,000 horses.
Many more were also seriously wounded, with some injured soldiers left bleeding in agony on the battlefield as the brutal conflict continued around them - while others perished in makeshift triage units, which had been thrown together on the periphery of the site.
The battleground has since become a huge tourist attraction and has also been dubbed one of the most haunted places in America.
