Some of the biggest names in the world flocked to Paris recently for Fashion Week. But it seems so did some of the much, much tinier no-names.
If you’ve also been living under your bed sheets and haven't heard, there’s been a major spread of bed bugs in the French capital.
Viral TikToks show the little creatures crawling on the seats of the Paris metro, buses and other public places.

Yep, it’s just as gross and nightmarish as it sounds.
The deputy mayor of Paris recently called the bed bug issue a ‘scourge’ and a ‘public health problem', asking for Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne to do something about it.
And now, a woman who got bed bugs after traveling on a train in the city says they’re all over her body.
Influencer Jihoon has been documenting her Paris Fashion Week antics on social media and with news of the bugs spreading as fast as the little s**ts, users started to warn her.

She shared a TikTok dancing on the Metro with a pal and someone commented: “Sweetie be careful because there’s some bed bugs on public transport!”
And it seems the warning came to Jihoon a little too late, as she followed up in a later video and said: “The way I wish I knew this earlier because look…”
She then reveals what look like inflamed red bite marks on her arms and legs as she says: “What the hell?”

“It’s all over my leg, the other leg as well. It’s so frickin’ itchy and I’ve been checking all my bags to make sure I don’t carry any of them home.”
Having been caught out by the bed bug nightmare herself, she warns others: “Be careful on the Metro. I took the Metro once, I was in jorts and look at my legs.”
In follow-up videos since, Jihoon said the bites were ‘driving her crazy’ because of how itchy they were and had been steaming and washing all her things to free from the ‘evil bedbug spell’.

One scary comment on her video claimed: “As someone who has dealt with bed bugs, those are not just from taking the Metro, they’re in your beds and clothes. Good luck.”
Others even said she should ‘throw all of your clothes’ as many suggested: “It’s probably from your hotel.”
And many put: “Omg I feel itchy now.”
Here’s a creepy bit about the creepers for you - microbiologist and founder of Bed Bugs Ltd David Cain told Sky News: "I think there's probably a similar level of issue in London as there is in Paris at present. They're already on buses, trains, tubes, cinemas, doctor's surgeries, public spaces, hospitals."

Big yikes.
