An update has been provided after six people were found dead at a luxury hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday (16 July).
Identified as two Vietnamese Americans and four Vietnamese nationals, investigators said the bodies were ‘foaming at the mouth’.
Police and officials in Thailand believe their deaths may have been caused by poisoning.

The three male and three female victims had booked several rooms at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel under seven names, with some of them staying on a different floor from the room where they were found.
Bangkok police chief Lt Gen Thiti Sangsawang said at a news conference that they are still looking for the seventh person from the booking and trying to check if they entered Thailand.
And now, in an update, images have been shared of a table filled with uneaten meals.

Ordered from room service at Monday lunchtime, the food had been left uneaten but the drinks had been drunk. The chief added that there was ‘unidentified substances’ in the bottom of all six cups.
Most of the dishes were still covered in cling film as they appeared to feature rice, eggs and vegetables, as well as extra dishes of soups and veg.
The majority of the cutlery also hasn’t been removed from being wrapped in the napkins.

The people staying in the room where the bodies were found were supposed to have checked out earlier in the day yesterday and police say their luggage had already been packed.
They were then found by a maid who went to the room after they had failed to check out, discovering it had been locked from the inside.
With no signs of a struggle and the case not being treated as a robbery, the chief said the case is being treated as a likely murder rather than a suicide.
