Conor McGregor gatecrashed Jake Gyllenhaal's debut appearance in the UFC Octagon last Friday (3 March).
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and lightweight double-champion joined the BAFTA-award-winning actor ringside to promote their latest project together.
Talk about an odd crossover. Check it out:
Both McGregor and Gyllenhaal made a very surprising appearance at the UFC 285 weigh-ins for Jon Jones' UFC title fight on Friday.

While many would think of Gyllenhaal and be reminded of his impressive filmography of work including box-office hits like Donnie Darko and Brokeback Mountain - not many would expect to see the award-winning actor grace the boxing ring alongside McGregor.
They duo teamed up to promote the upcoming Road House movie set to have Gyllenhaal starring as Elwood Dalton alongside McGregor.
The upcoming flick has been labeled as a 'reimagining' of the cult-classic 1989 film of the same name.

Just as Jones stepped up to the weighing scale, McGregor emerged and announced some pretty exciting news about Gyllenhaal.
He explained to fans that the American actor would be having a mock weigh-in with Jay Hieron, UFC legend, for one of the scenes in Road House.
The boxer began in true McGregor fashion by hyping up the crowd.
He cheered: "Las Vegas! Who's ready for tomorrow night? We've got the biggest fight in Road House history, Harris versus Dalton UFC 222."

"Everyone in this arena," the boxing star continued, "you're about to be part of my movie that's coming out with myself and Jake Gyllenhaal."
Concluding his quick film promo, McGregor added: "A Joe Silver production, make sure to cheer for the weigh-ins and let's go Las Vegas."
Gyllenhaal then made his way to the scale and proceeded to 'slap' Hieron, who is playing Jack Harris in the upcoming action film.

In full character, Gyllenhaal took to the mic to tell the crowd: "This f***er just makes me laugh, cuz he's a f***ing joke!
"Let's go. Just give me the belt. Just give it to me. Hand it to me."
Hieron's character fought back calling the fighter a 'f****** bum' and added: "I promise you that's the one and only hit you get. I'm putting you to sleep tomorrow night."
However, it's clear that the mock weigh-in didn't go quite to plan the first time as both Gyllenhaal and Hieron were made to re-shoot the scene.

McGregor then re-entered the stage to tell leaving fans to stay put whilst the film crew re-shot the scene yet again.
"We're going to do one more take of this weigh-in if you don't mind," he told fans.
"Guys get on your feet and let them know, it's an important movie and you're going to be in it. One more take!"
The premise for the upcoming film follows an ex-UFC fighter who ends up working at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys where he 'soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise', the synopsis reads.
Road House is set to be released by Amazon Studios.
