Fight for Life is, without doubt, New Zealand’s premier boxing event.
Over the years, the promotion has witnessed some of the biggest names in Australasian sport step over its ropes and throw down.
Now, in 2023, the card is perhaps the most stacked it has ever been.

On April 27th, the bright lights inside Auckland’s Eventfinda Stadium will be turned on and a host of talent will be chomping at the bit to walk out to a roaring reception.
Poised to be one of the best yet, Fight for Life 2023 is headlined by a world title fight where hometown hero Mea Motu will be taking on Tania Walters for the vacant IBO World Super Bantamweight championship.

If victorious, she joins an elite group of New Zealander’s to win a world title on home soil.
But if that bout wasn’t mouth-watering enough, the rest of the card promises to deliver with future champs as well as famous celebrities lacing up the gloves too.
Another fight on the card which will excite local fans is Andrei Mikhailovich vs Edisson Saltarin.

Undefeated New Zealander Mikhailovich is one of the nation’s top young prospects and a big win over a man that also boasts an unblemished record could catapult him into middleweight title contention.
There’s also some other familiar faces from other sporting codes on the card too.
Former All Black Sam Tuitopu is taking on ex-Kiwis captain Roy Asotasi, while recently-retired All Black Liam Messam will lock horns with State of Origin legend-turned-boxer Justin Hodges in a trans-Tasman showdown.
Overall, Fight for Life 2023 has all the ingredients for box office entertainment – an occasion you won’t want to miss.
