Eddie Hearn stunned as he’s confronted by Ronnie Pickering asking for tickets

Today we're here to look at the meme-making moment Eddie Hearn met Ronnie Pickering.

Despite being a huge name in sports and Anthony Joshua's promotor, Hearn was visibly starstruck when he came across the viral sensation at a UK event.

Before we get into it, let us refresh your memories as to who Mr Pickering is.

The Hull resident rose to online fame back in September 2015 thanks to a video in which he became embroiled in an altercation with a moped driver.

As tempers flared and heated words were exchanged, Ronnie uttered the now immortal words: "Do you know who I am? I'm Ronnie Pickering."

Little did he realise that the exchange was being filmed on a GoPro, with the footage quickly circulating across the internet.

Every now and then his face pops up, and that's exactly what happened to Hearn when he attended a promo event at a shopping mall.

While saying hello to what he assumed was just another member of the crowd, the cameraman asks Hearn: "Do you know who that is?"

After a closer look, he says: "Oh, f***ing hell, is that Ronnie Pickering?"

Knowing the full value of his catchphrase, Ronnie quips: "Do you know who I am? You muppet."

He's probably the only person in the world who could say that to Hearn and get a smiling response.

The pair then start bantering each other as Ronnie tries to wangle some VIP tickets to an event Hearn's hosting.

"I'm not sure about VIPs, Ronnie," he says. "But you are f***ing Ronnie Pickering."

Hearn then admits: "I'm a bit celeb shocked," before reassuring the viral star, "I'll sort it out for you, we'll have a chat in a minute."

Although the unlikely meet-and-greet unfolded back in 2017, the clip has since been shared on TikTok where it's received hundreds of comments.

"Funny how everyone now knows Ronnie Pickering," wrote one user. And they're not wrong - he's a British celeb in his own right.

"Give Ronnie an inch he takes a mile," joked another, while a third quipped: "Who's that with Big Ron?"

Others proposed the next big exhibition fight, with one writing, "Jake Paul’s next opponent."

A second suggested: "John fury vs Ronnie Pickering."

To be fair, there might be something in this, as one person pointed out that Ronnie 'was in the army plus an amateur boxer before the viral road rage incident'.
