A TikToker's husband bought her an expensive gift to apologise for recognising former adult star Mia Khalifa while they were on their honeymoon. Check it out:
Mia Khalifa is a social media personality who's pursued various ventures throughout her career, but people online still seem to focus on the fact that she used to be a porn star.

That includes Lya Mariella's partner, who spotted Mia when the pair were out for a spot of dinner in Paris on their post-wedding travels.
In a TikTok video, she said he got 'way too excited' about it and proceeded to 'text all of his guy friends'.
Safe to say Lya was not best pleased, and Mia herself even commented on the post to say: "Girl my man was on his phone the whole time, I say we throw them all away and go shopping tomorrow."

Lya replied, "I’m currently at hermes across the street, feel free to meet me here," to which Mia said, "Good, he owes you a birkin."
Considering the cheapest Birkin bag costs around £5,000, you would've thought this back-and-forth was little more than banter. But the content creator's SO took the apology seriously and ended up splashing out on the expensive accessory.
It certainly did the trick, as just hours later Mia and Lya appeared in a video together, filmed by the husband no less.

"I'm here at the christening of the Birkin... we're not going to dunk it in water because we don't do that to a Birkin," jokes Mia.
"This was the best meeting ever and also her husband that we were talking s**t about is the one filming this right now."
"What a time to be alive," adds Lya as the pair both hug.
Mia herself was delighted by the exchange, sharing a screenshot of one of Lya's videos on Twitter alongside the caption: "This influencer staying at my hotel in Paris posted a TikTok feeling bad cause her man was excited to see me walk by at dinner last night, and this morning he bought her a birkin to make up for it. A *BIRKIN*!!"

She also shared a TikTok skit in which Lya appears pissed off with her husband before she hands over the bag, with text over the clip that reads: "When you're about to cuss him out for recognising Mia Khalifa but he hits you with the uno reverse: birkin edition."
Judging by the lighthearted nature of their videos, it looks like it's all water under the bridge - although you would expect that when someone buys you a gift as expensive as a house downpayment.
