An unsuspecting Scottish woman was caught off guard when eight Americans suddenly gathered in her garden and began waving at her through the window.
A wholesome sight, or something from a horror movie about a not-so-friendly neighbourhood? I'll let you decide.
The bizarre situation unfolded last week, when Twitter user Lanna Tolland was hanging out at home, relaxing on the couch watching Love Island and no doubt feeling safe and comfortable.

It's a scene many of us can relate to and no doubt play out ourselves numerous times a week, but Lanna's serenity was broken when she realised she wasn't actually alone.
In a post shared on Twitter last week, Lanna said she had the window blind open when all of a sudden she saw 'eight people [she didn't] know at the gate waving' at her.
It seems the friendly act of waving made Lanna feel confident enough to open the window and engage with the strangers, rather than running away to hide in another, more hidden part of the house, and upon doing so she discovered the people gathered in her garden were all American.
Images shared by the baffled resident showed the tourists milling about in her fenced-off garden and gathering for photos in front of the window while Lanna's dogs went 'mental' inside.

As it turns out, her home apparently used to belong to the tourists' 'great great grandparents', so they decided to give it a visit while in the area.
The Americans apparently asked Lanna if they could 'have a look around' the house, but the images snapped through the window make clear she wasn't so keen on the idea - which is understandable, given that it was eight versus one and she had no idea who they actually were.
In a comment added after her first tweet, Lanna wrote: "I felt bad but I was literally in myself, in my jammies watching love island. If they hadn’t turned up at quarter past 10 then maybe [I would have let them in]."
The Twitter user admitted it was the kind of situation that she thought 'only happened on tele' and described herself as being 'ambushed' by the Americans, who have garnered a lot of attention after Lanna shared the images of them on Twitter.

Responding to the scene, one person wrote: "That’s really creepy…. Not wanting to take pics etc, but just turning up that’s very uncomfortable I would despise it."
Another joked: "I don’t even want my family turning up unannounced never mind strangers."
It seems Lanna got away from the situation unscathed, though I imagine she'll think twice about leaving her blinds open in the future.
