We’ve all had the odd thing show up on our phone that’s given us an absolute fright.
Whether it’s been a stranger air dropping us something absolutely vile on the bus or just the appearance of U2 in our music library, no one likes an unwanted surprise.
And one woman’s taken to the internet after finding a bizarre ‘creepy video’ on her boyfriend’s phone.

They’re so freaked out by it she’s asked for help on Reddit – where the theories are pretty dark.
Watch the weird clip here:
Looking for advice, user ‘GuavaDangerous8346’ explained that about a year ago her boyfriend was looking through photos on his iPhone 12.

And while he was scrolling through the library, he found this ‘really creepy video’.
It’s a pretty difficult video to decipher as it almost looks like it was filmed by mistake.
The person holding the phone seems to be getting into their car before it suddenly drops and goes dark. There’s then heavy breathing and almost sobbing or panting noise as well as loud banging.
Basically, it really is a pretty creepy video.

The user provided a little extra context too, explaining that the video was dated at February 2019 and added: “It wasn't in any imports or downloads section, just sat there in the gallery so it's not like he downloaded anything edgy off twitter.
“Not to mention, he also was not on that type of social media at that age.”
Other users tried to offer up some advice that perhaps the video had came from a WhatsApp group chat, but he apparently wasn’t using WhatsApp back then.

Another suggests it ‘could be an Airdrop situation’.
As for the context of the video, people are rather spooked as they say at nine seconds in, ‘you can see one or more people standing a few feet away from the car’.
“It seems to me that the person is entering the car recording the people in case of an attack,” one suggests.

And it’s even morbidly suggested: “Was this maybe someone recording what they thought would be his last minutes and his murderer(s)?”
Others think a person climbed on top of the car and one says: “Those are unmistakeable metal bending noises.”
Whereas one says the ‘banging is kinda unnerving’, they add: “Although I could see a hysterical drunk dude punching the ceiling of the car while he’s having a meltdown.”
Whatever it is, it’s certainly a creepy thing to find lurking on your phone.
