Adele paused a recent performance to have a chat with the audience about the latest trend of people on stage getting pelted with all manner of objects during their performances.
It can't be much fun having things thrown at you, but for some reason it appears to be on the rise during live performances.
Apparently paying customers are throwing all sorts of things at the people they've paid to come and see perform, and worryingly quite a few of these objects have done a bit of damage.

It's become enough of an issue that Adele stopped one of her recent shows to have this discussion with the crowd, all while brandishing a t-shirt cannon at the audience.
She said: "Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f**king show etiquette at the moment?
"Throwing s**t on stage, have you seen them? I f**king dare you, I dare you throw something at me, I'll f**king kill you."

To punctuate her point she took aim with the t-shirt cannon and fired it into the crowd before telling them to 'stop throwing things at the artist', then started laughing that she 'can shoot things at the audience'.
Adele laughed at the 'total reverse' of her telling the audience throwing things onto the stage was very naughty before firing something back at them.
This is by no means the first time that Adele has been on stage and armed herself with a t-shirt cannon, with the merchandise dispensing projectile appearing to be her weapon of choice.
It turns out that fans of Adele absolutely love her threatening to shoot them with a t-shirt cannon if the responses to what she said was anything to go by.

One fan said they loved 'the way she was like yall aint f**king with me' while another praised how 'chaotic' she was.
Another fan said 'her saying this while shooting t-shirts into the audience is so', but chose to leave out what exactly it was so. Iconic, presumably.
Someone else tweeted 'YES MA TELL TH3M', which sounds like it's a spot of positive affirmation so we'll chalk them up as yet another Adele fan.

Sadly this whole thing of audience members throwing stuff onto the stage is a problem for performers, with a plethora of artists either injured or forced to try and shut down the people throwing objects around.
Sometimes it's more wholesome than harmful, however, as Pink recently received a huge wheel of cheese from one fan in the middle of the performance and who wouldn't want to be randomly handed a huge quantity of cheese?
