Beyoncé’s career began in the 90s where she appeared on a TV show called Star Search as a member of R&B group Girl’s Tyme.

This group was eventually signed by Columbia Records in 1997 and was renamed Destiny’s Child.
This is where Beyoncé shined, emerging as the leader of the group, helping to write many hit songs.
Their notorious debut album, Destiny's Child, slingshotted the group into fame.
However it was their follow up album, The Writing’s on the Wall (1999), that really took the groups’ popularity to the next level. The album sold more than eight million copies in the United States alone, and earned them two Grammy Awards.

In 2003 she released her first solo album, Dangerously in Love, and the rest is history.

In 2010 the American superstar launched her own fragrance brand, which has since generated a mass of $500 million in revenue, making Beyoncé’s brand the most successful celebrity fragrance of all time.
As well as her entrepreneurial skills, Beyoncé has also gained income from TV deals.
In 2018 she signed a $60 million deal with Netflix, to provide them with three pieces of content.
As of 2022, Beyoncé and her husband, fellow celebrity and artist Jay-Z, own an estimated $150 million in real estate in the US, with the couple purchasing a $88 million mansion in 2017 in Bel Air, California.

They also own a $4 million private island in the Bahamas where they can relax and get away from all the drama of being two of the most popular music superstars the world has ever seen.
