Ben Affleck has spoken out about his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez in the second comment about their divorce in a month.
The celebs divorced in January of 2025 just three years on from rekindling their relationship after 18 years.
The pair dated after meeting in 2002, later becoming engaged and splitting up in 2004. In 2022, they got back together and, in August of 2024, Lopez filed for divorce.

Affleck spoke on the split for the first time earlier this year in a profile with GQ, where he stressed he had a ‘lot of respect’ for Lopez, and shot down rumours that her documentary about their relationship was the cause for their rift.

Now, however, Affleck has spoken out at a red carpet event for his new film The Accountant 2.
Affleck shares two kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez has three kids with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, with the actor confirming that all five kids were at the premiere.
He said: “The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited. I love when all the kids come out.”

He went on to claim he doesn’t ‘read the the stuff online much’ but that ‘sometimes he gets the sense that people perpetuate the idea of… they wanna find something negative to talk about’.
He went on to add: “For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them.
“I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.”

He finally added: “I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me. The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life.

“Those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.”
Lopez herself broke her silence about the pair’s split in October of 2024, two months after filing for divorce.
She stated that she did not regret their romance, though clarified: “That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did.
“But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘f**k, that is exactly what I needed.
“'Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.'”

The comments from Affleck were given ahead of the release of his upcoming film The Accountant 2.
The film, also starring Jon Bernthal, has had a positive response so far, with a 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and score of 7.7 on IMDb.
