History was made yesterday as six celebrities headed to space and back in the first all-female space flight since 1963.
Black Mirror is looking increasingly like reality as an all-female crew, including Katy Perry and Jeff Bezos' fiancee Lauren Sánchez, headed into space on 14 April, thanks to the Blue Origin space mission funded by the Amazon founder.
As for why, the mission is the first step into the world of space tourism, with a trip to the cosmos costing a $150,000 (£114,000) deposit, so it is not something you can book on a whim.

The flight lasted 11 minutes, with the rocket only going above the surface of Earth, before returning back to Texas.
While the trip might have been enough to put the flat Earth theory to bed finally, there has been plenty of backlash from the trip - however, it's come from other celebrities.
Emily Ratajkowski is the latest high profile name to share her honest thoughts on the trip.
For those of you who haven't heard of the 33-year-old, she's an American model and actor, although the cultured among you will perhaps recognise her as Gibby's girlfriend from iCarly.

On her TikTok account, she said: "That space mission this morning? That’s end time s**t. Like, this is beyond parody.
"That you care about Mother Earth and it’s about Mother Earth, and you’re going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that’s singlehandedly destroying the planet?"

She went on to question the point of the mission, asking: "Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space. For what? What was the marketing there?
"And then to try to make it like... I'm disgusted, literally I'm disgusted."

And the model isn't the only one as other A-listers were quick to voice their thoughts.
Actor Olivia Munn also spoke about the trip earlier this month on Today With Jenna And Friends, where she said: "What are they doing? Like why? You know what I mean?
"I know that this is probably not the cool thing to say, but there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now.
"What are you going to do up in space? What are you doing up there?"

She then compared to a ride at Disneyland before asking why those on the trip needed to 'tell' everyone about it, adding that it's 'so much money to go to space'.
Perry, who also took a daisy with her up to space, and Sanchez were joined on the rocket by journalist Gayle King, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
Upon their return to Earth, Bezo made unwanted headlines when he fell (literally) to greet his fiancée, while Perry was seen kissing the Texas dirt after touching down in the desert.
