Why did Emily Ratajkowski cross the road?
Well, the shocking request that the supermodel received from a man as she was minding her own business and strolling across the street probably might have made her pick up the pace.
The 33-year-old from California took to social media to share footage of a strange encounter she had while wandering through New York City on Tuesday (20 August).

Ratajkowski looked her usual gorgeous self as she trotted across the street at a traffic light while sporting chunky glasses, black trousers and a figure-hugging grey vest.
The Gone Girl star was filming herself while navigating her way through the Big Apple and unwittingly captured a man bizarrely barking an instruction at her.
Thankfully - but also, tragically - the mother-of-one didn't even flinch when she heard the bloke's snarky comment.

As Ratajkowski was enjoying her walk, a male passerby suddenly shouted: "Girl, put on a shirt!"
Spoiler alert, she was already wearing one.
The actress shared the clip on TikTok while telling fans: "Wait for it: man tells me to put on a shirt."
So she did the only thing she could in that situation - carried on strutting across the street like the unbothered queen she is while Charli XCX's hit song '365' played in the background.

The initial part of the lyrics were quite fitting too, as the 32-year-old singer says: "Who the f**k are you? I'm a brat when I'm bumpin' that. Now I wanna hear my track, are you bumpin' that?"
Ratajkowski wasn't done there when it came to referencing viral trends in her recent video, though.
She captioned her post, 'famously not demure, famously not mindful', in reference to the phrase that has been popularised by TikTok star Jools Lebron - and even You star Penn Badgley has jumped on the craze with his own clip.

As you can imagine, fans of Ratajkowski were not impressed by the fella who thought it was his place to give her unwelcome fashion tips, and hundreds flooded the comment section to show their support for her.
One said: "Feels like we've lost the plot if men are telling Emily Ratajkowski to put on more clothes."
Another fumed: "It's like, you ARE wearing a shirt."

A third added: "You didn’t even flinch I love u," while a fourth added: "Imagine feeling that entitled to someone else’s body!!!"
And a fifth pointed out: "You're wearing a shirt..."
However, some people were skeptical of the authenticity of Ratajkowski's post and suggested it could have been set up as a stunt for social media.
If it isn't, that woman's got seriously incredible timing.
