Jay-Z has made headlines after calling out the Grammys for snubbing his wife Beyonce, but viewers were quick to point out the irony of it.
The Grammys were once again full of viral moments that did the rounds on social media, and Jay-Z played his part.

From Miley Cyrus' bodyguard's umbrella to drama around Taylor Swift and Celine Dion, the awards had it all - including Jay-Z's moment.

The 'Empire State of Mind' rapper won the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his influence of hip-hop music over the years, thanking those before him in the industry.
Specifically mentioning Dr. Dre, he credited the legendary producer with opening doors for hip-hop artists to 'show us we can be rockstars (too)', referencing his iconic Rolling Stone cover with Snoop Dogg in 1993.
Jay-Z also gave thanks to Run-DMC, The Fresh Prince (Will Smith) and Jazzy Jeff for being pioneers in the genre as part of his mostly wholesome speech.
The 54-year-old then turned his attention to his wife, the one and only 'Queen B', Beyonce.

After stating that music is 'subjective' and 'opinion-based', he said: "I don't want to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year.
"So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that, the most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn't work."
The camera then switched to Beyonce, who looked on awkwardly.

And just like that, another iconic Grammys moment was born.
Jay-Z threw more shade on the awards, saying: "Some of you are going to go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed, some of you may have robbed. "Some of you don't belong in a category."
He was on fire.
The crowd let out an awkward groan at that comment, but he then urged people to 'keep showing up' in life, while holding his daughter's hand as she was next to him on stage in a wholesome ending to his speech.

In one of the more memorable award speeches in recent times, viewers were quick to compare it to a previous legendary speech.
Yes, I am talking about Kanye West stealing the microphone from Taylor Swift at the VMAs in 2009 to claim Beyonce should have won music video of the year instead of Swift.
One user posted: "Jay-Z’s full Kanye moment. It’s all happening."

Another said: "Jay-Z took a page out of Kanye’s book to roast the Grammys LOL".
A third put: "Jay-Z is 'imma let you finish' away from being Kanye #GRAMMYs".
There were several hilarious reaction GIFs and videos posted about the moment too.
I wonder when artists are going to stop embarrassing her at award shows.
