Fans think Kendrick Lamar used his huge 2025 Grammy Award wins to aim another dig at Drake in their ongoing feud that has gripped the music industry for the past 12 months.
The two rap icons spent most of 2024 going back and forth releasing diss tracks aimed at the other, with fans losing their minds every time a new song dropped on Spotify or YouTube.
At the 2025 Grammys - which saw Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori go viral for rather eye-catching reasons - held in Lamar's native Los Angeles on Sunday (2 February), the Compton superstar won big with his Drake diss track 'Not Like Us' taking home Song of the Year.

The song also saw him win Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Music Video, and Record of the Year. Quite the haul, with five wins for one song being a new Grammys record.
But it was what Lamar was wearing that saw some fans think he was taking another dig at Drake, with social media going into somewhat of a frenzy.
What did Kendrick Lamar wear to the Grammys?
It was an all denim affair for Lamar; an outfit that is commonly known as a Canadian Tuxedo.

For those unaware of what that means, someone is said to be wearing a Canadian Tuxedo if they don a denim jacket worn with a pair of jeans.
It is a term going back decades and one that was first associated with Bing Crosby in 1951 who was denied entry to a Vancouver Hotel due to his double denim clothing options.
Why is a Canadian Tuxedo a dig at Drake?
It's all down to Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, being Canadian.

And on top of that, Lamar was accepting five awards for a song that was at the Canadian's expense, which includes alleging Drake to be a sex offender - something he strenuously denies.
Since the song's release, Drake has taken legal action. In a defamation lawsuit, Drake's legal representatives have issued a claim against the record label that released the song, Universal Music Group, with the paperwork saying the song 'falsely accuses [Drake] of being a sex offender'.
In Lamar's song 'Not Like Us', Drake is seemingly referred to as a 'certified pedophile'.
Given the lawsuit was filed last November, fans think Lamar's decision to wear the Canadian Tux just months later on music's biggest stage is another way of winding up his rap opponent.

Reaction to Kendrick Lamar's win and outfit
When winning Record of the Year, Lamar had the Grammys crowd in the palm of his hand as the song was played on the venue speakers with the entire crowd singing the infamous 'A Minor' diss directed at Drake in 'Not Like Us'.

"Kendrick Lamar wins the Record of The Year Grammy for 'Not Like Us', while reminding you he’s a LA native... and wearing a Canadian Tuxedo. THIS GUY," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another wrote: "The whole crowd singing 'a minor'. Oh, Drake, you should feel embarrassed."
A third said: "All Drake had to do was ignore a minor shot at him and now a song calling him a pedophile just won Record of the Year at the Grammys."
Attention now turns to what Kendrick Lamar will do for his Super Bowl halftime show taking place next Sunday (9 February).
