American Pie star Jason Biggs has opened up on his weight transformation after he admitted he used to 'knock back' pints of ice cream.
The 46-year-old reckons he's dropped about 35 pounds after discovering he had some 'cholesterol issues', he told Page Six as he explained his motivation for making some changes.
Biggs has previously opened up about his struggles with alcoholism, having admitted that he used to use something called the 'bottle method' to hide his addiction from his wife Jenny Mollen.

He made sure he never drank enough that he couldn't have a conversation with his wife, and was constantly replacing bottles of alcohol so she wouldn't notice how much he was drinking.

Now he's said that learning he had high cholesterol kick-started his weight loss journey, and he's been very pleased with the results.
"It’s been a journey, my cholesterol came down 70 points," he told Page Six.
When he was asked why he'd got to the point where it became a cause for concern, Biggs suggested that it was probably the 'ice cream pints I would knock back'.

With the motivation to shed some weight and live a healthier lifestyle, the 46-year-old actor changed up his diet and workout routine, admitting it took 'a while' to get to where he is now.
Getting healthy is his own reward, but it's still alright to indulge some of the finer things in life from time to time as well.

Biggs said that ice cream is his favourite junk food, and despite making a change for the healthier he does still indulge his tastebuds every now and then.
He's got a particular gelato shop he's especially fond of, and said he would still occasionally down the occasional pint of Van Leeuwen as a treat.

Elsewhere in his life, Biggs once revealed that his wife had once hired a sex worker to sleep with him while she sat in the corner watching and eating crisps.
The story ended up making it into her memoir I Like You Just The Way I Am, and while she 'found the whole thing to be quite hysterical', Biggs said he 'wasn’t really performing to the best of my abilities' and didn't have as great a time.

He's also said that he reckons American Pie is one of those movies you probably couldn't get away with making today.
It wouldn't get made now and it couldn't get made now," Biggs previously told BuzzFeed News.

"It would be unacceptable what that represents. At the time I remember reading the script and reading that part and being shocked that there was cameras on computers!
"That's what I took away from it originally!"
