Jeremy Clarkson has shared a video of himself enjoying a beer while working out at the gym. Well, we all hit the gym in January, don’t we?
The clip, which was shared on Instagram, showed Clarkson sitting at a weight bench in a not-at-all-gym-friendly outfit of jeans, shirt and jacket as he lifted a small dumbbell with one arm and drank his beer with the other. You can see him multitasking here:
In the video Clarkson, who recently announced he had left The Grand Tour, tells his fans: “When you’re working out in the gym it’s important to stay hydrated.”

I mean, he’s not wrong but I don’t think many personal trainers will be recommending you down a beer, even a low-alcohol one, which is the case here.
Well, it turns out that the post is actually a promo for the newly released low-alcohol beer from his Hawkstone brewery - the 0.3 percent Hawkstone Spa Lager, has been launched to coincide with Dry January.
As the video continues, Clarkson takes a sip before adding: “And what I would recommend is Hawkstone new, ultra-low alcohol lager. We’ve called it ‘Spa Lager’ because that’s what it is, a wellness lager. The healthy alternative.”

A description of the new lager on the Hawkstone website reads: “Dry January doesn’t stand a chance this year. Sit back, relax, and pamper yourself with the world’s first wellness lager.
"This one’s been masterfully brewed with loads of fruit and comes in at just 0.3% alcohol. Stress melts away with every sip. It’s zen in a can and absolutely f**king delicious.”
Sharing the clip, Clarkson wrote: “Finally, something that makes dry January bearable.”
And, as you may have guessed, fans of the Clarkson’s Farm star loved the post, with one person writing: “Only you could get away with that.”

Another commented: “Perfect combination for January.”
And a third joked: “This is what peak male performance looks like.”
In November, Clarkson confirmed he would be stepping away from The Grand Tour, which he had presented alongside James May and Richard Hammond since it launched in 2016.

Sharing the news on social media, he wrote: "Been a busy day.
"No more Grand Tour after next year but a LOT more Clarkson’s Farm. Which, this evening, is looking extremely lovely."
The wildly popular Clarkson’s Farm, which sees the former Top Gear presenter running his Diddly Squat Farm, launched in 2021 and has proved to be a huge hit with viewers.
Amazon Prime renewed the show for a fourth season in November.
