It Ends with Us director and actor Justin Baldoni has sued co-star Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds for £326 million

Justin Baldoni spoke to Blake Lively about her husband Ryan Reynolds in newly released footage from the set of It Ends with Us.

Lively, 37, filed her first lawsuit against It Ends with Us director and actor Baldoni, 40, claiming she was the victim of a campaign of 'social manipulation', as well as making several more damning accusations, in December 2024.

Earlier this month, she filed a second lawsuit alleging Baldoni engaged in inappropriate behaviour on-set, which included a scene where their characters performed a slow dance.

In her lawsuit against Baldoni, she alleges the director 'leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear and down her neck as he said, 'It smells so good.'

She claimed that Baldoni was 'caressing Lively with his mouth in a way that had nothing to do with their roles'.

This comes after the director sued Lively and her husband for £326 million last week, and Baldoni's team have since released the full clip of the scene, made of up three takes from the sequence.

Almost 10 minutes worth of footage of the filming of that scene is now available to the public domain, and at around minute four, Baldoni speaks to Lively about her husband Reynolds, 48.

Have a listen here:

The director, who is acting in the scene, mentions Lively's real-life partner: "I know you and Ryan talk all the time."

She responded: "Oh my gosh, we don't shut up."

As the pair stare at one another, Baldoni mentions his wife Emily and says that they stare at each other a lot.

Then Lively brings the conversation back to her and Reynolds, saying: "No, we're like, 'Oh my God, there's not enough time in the day to talk.'

"It's like, 'Oh my God, and I forgot to tell you something else.'"

"Oh, I think that's cute. You guys are really cute," he replies, before Lively adds: "I think it's more than cute."

The full 10-minute video was shared with Entertainment Weekly alongside the statement: "The following videos captured on May 23, 2023 clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterisation of his behaviour.

"The scene in question was designed to show the two characters falling in love and longing to be close to one another. Both actors are clearly behaving well within the scope of the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism."

Lively has also responded to the video with a statement: "The video shows Ms. Lively leaning away and repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk. Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognise Ms. Lively’s discomfort. They will recognide her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching.

"No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent."

Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios, among others, have filed a 179-page lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and others for damages that includes lost future income.
