That's right, a space craft - carrying Katy Perry and five other women - has just visited space.
The world of celebrity is certainly a strange one. One moment you're performing on stage flanked by men in shark costumes or spraying whipped cream from your bra while singing alongside Snoop Dogg and the next, you're blasting off for an 11-minute trip to space.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Jeff Bezos' space technology company invited Perry and five other women, CBS journalist Gayle King, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, film producer Kerianne Flynn and Bezos' fiancee Lauren Sánchez, for a ride into the cosmos.

After months of preparation the launch day is finally here, with Perry, King, Bowe, Nguyen, Flynn and Sánchez having boarded the spacecraft and blasted off from West Texas.
Check out a video from of the spacecraft's lift off below:
Naturally, your first question is likely to be 'Why is Katy Perry going to space?' Well the answer to that is, why not?
And also for the advance of space tourism, which means that one day your or I will be able to cross over the Karman Line - which is the boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and outer space - and see the stars up close.

That is if you can afford the hefty price tag, as it'll require a $150,000 (£114,000) deposit to book a seat on the flight.
The six women were also able to experience weightlessness during the four minutes they crossed over into outer space.
The crew aren't the first space tourists either, with billionaires such as Richard Branson and even Bezos himself heading to space on previous flights.
Even Star Trek star William Shatner was able make the trip onboard one of the Blue Origin shuttles, becoming the oldest person to head into space at the age of 90 in 13 October, 2021.

I wonder if any of the group, like Shatner, will come back home feeling like their perspective of life on Earth has fundamentally changed?
Perry was also rumoured to sing during the flight. This is yet to be confirmed, but we can't imagine the singer missing out on the opportunity to sing 'Firework' or 'ET' during the flight.
Meanwhile on the ground, the launch was also attended by numerous astronauts as well as celebrities, with Oprah Winfrey, Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian showing up to watch the group travel through the stars as space tourists.
