Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has once again been criticised by viewers after he tried to get dramatic in an interview with Irfaan Ali, the president of Guyana.
Over the years, Madeley has demonstrated a habit of opening his mouth and inserting his foot in such a way that makes you wonder if we even need Alan Partridge.
This time it was a chat with President Ali of Guyana which has got GMB viewers putting their head in their hands and leaving his co-presenter Susannah Reid likely wishing she could do the same.

During the interview, Madeley brought up that Ali was going to speak about the British royal family as part of a conversation on historical reparations for slavery.
"You feel it's not just about the finances involved here in terms of reparations for slavery," the GMB presenter said before slapping the table in what he probably thought was a moment of dramatic emphasis.
"It's about gestures, and you think that the British royal family should make a big gesture don't you? What do you mean, hand over a palace to your country?"

President Ali responded by saying that Guyana 'don't want the British to hand over a palace that we built', which drew laughter which contained little humour from Madeley.
The President of Guyana said that many British palaces had 'lovely green hard wood from Guyana' and if someone went there they could see 'the sweat, tears and blood of the slaves who were exploited and the revenue that was earned from their exploitation'.
He told Madeley that Guyana wasn't 'asking for a palace, we're asking for justice'.
There were plenty of complaints about Madeley's behaviour in the interview, with many taking to social media to slam him - just has he slammed the table during the interview.

Many were stunned at the 'disrespect' Madeley was showing to a head of state and one said they 'didn't think Richard Madeley could come across as any more of a d**khead but here he is'.
Someone else criticised the GMB presenter for 'approaching the topic of reparations with such bias and laughing at the response', while another said that Madeley 'has his a**e absolutely handed to him'.
Madeley was slammed for asking a 'stupid question', while another viewer suggested that his co-presenter 'Susannah wants to crawl into a hole' after he slapped the table.

Many more commented to say that they found Madeley to be a 'condescending a**ehole', 'complete d**khead' and an 'arrogant, ignorant, patronising piece of work'.
Beyond criticism for the man himself was the way he approached a topic like slavery reparations.
