As rumours continue to spiral, Glen Powell’s mum has addressed ‘what’s going on behind closed doors’ with Sydney Sweeney and her son.
It comes as the Euphoria star recently split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, and has since been seen spending time with her rom-com co-star. The pair previously ignited speculation in the build-up to the release of their 2023 film Anyone But You.
Photos of the two filming sparked rumours of romance, but the stars repeatedly clarify they are just good friends. And all that attention successfully ramped up promo for the film, as Sydney told PEOPLE: “I mean, we sold a rom-com, we were just filming a fun, amazing movie.”

But the pair seem to be close once again, as they reunited at Glen’s sister’s wedding.

Yet, while photos of the actors have gone viral across social media, his mum, Cyndy, has shut down relationship rumours.
“They’re definitely not together,” she told the Daily Mail and slammed speculation about them as ‘silly’.
Cyndy went on to add that there’s ‘nothing going on behind closed doors’ and that Sydney attended her daughter Leslie’s wedding because they’re ‘really close friends’.

“We love Sydney. We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend,” she continued.
“We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her."
Photos of the two actors in the lead-up to Anyone But You had even ended up sparking affair rumours as they eventually admitted they’d deliberately leaned into speculation they were dating.
“The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry,” Glen told the New York Times last year.

“That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully. Sydney is very smart.”
Sydney went on to explain how she wanted them to carry on making public appearance together amid the rumours.
“I was on every call. I was in text group chats. I was probably keeping everybody over at Sony marketing and distribution awake at night because I couldn’t stop with ideas,” she explained.
“I wanted to make sure that we were actively having a conversation with the audience as we were promoting this film, because at the end of the day, they’re the ones who created the entire narrative.”
