He wrote: “Some rare never before seen footage of my transformation workout for Thor. It’s a unique blend of several martial art disciplines and moves inspired by all the great 80s action heroes.”
Many were left chuckling over the endearing post, as one person wrote: “You look way more coordinated than you normally do.”
Another commented: “You should be fighting for the title of the universe today at the Madison Square Garden bud.”
A third joked: “Those martial art moves are quite similar to those i do in front of my mirror when my mother scolds me.”

While another shared: “Let's hope Kratos not seeing this.”
As the actor is known for his gruelling workouts to maintain his impeccable physique, you would think portraying fat Thor would be easy enough for the Melbourne native.
Well, you would be wrong. According to Screen Rant, the process was anything but.
The 39-year-old had to wear a fat suit weighing around 60 to 70 pounds (27 to 31.7 kg), which is far heavier than any other superhero layers of clothing he had previously fashioned on the battlefield.

In an interview with ONE Media, the actor revealed the suit became increasingly ‘hot’ during production.
Despite this, the actor admitted to Variety he loved that reimagining of the character.
So much so that originally Thor was meant to revert to his old physique mid-way through the film; however, Hemsworth fought to keep his curves.

He said: “I enjoyed that version of Thor.
“It was so different than any other way I played the character. And then it took on a life of its own.”
Anthony Russo, who co-directed the film, also told the outlet that fat Thor was his favourite arc for the superhero, as it allowed Hemsworth to tap into his comedic side.
“Part of Chris’ magic as a comedic actor is his dedication to the depth of the character on a very earnest level,” he said.

“We love those kinds of performers. It’s so devious and subversive when comedy is coming from a place of complete commitment and emotional complexity.”
