Christopher Mintz-Plasse, aka the one and only McLovin, has opened up about the time his mum watched him film a sex scene.
Watch the trailer for the incredible film here:
Look, few films define 2007 quite like Superbad, the teen comedy is a masterpiece, and while you’re probably aware that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are behind what has to be one of the funniest movie scripts of all time, you probably don't realise how much input the team's mums had on set.

For instance, star Mintz-Plasse, who was 17 at the time of filming, described the "very, very surreal" moment his mum had to watch him film his infamous McLovin sex scene.
Obviously, she was on set for legal reasons, not by choice, as the actor explained on The Rich Eisen Show: "[My mother] did not have to be there for everything, but she 100 percent had to be there for the sex scene, absolutely."
When asked if it was uncomfortable, McLovin of course answered: "Yeah, it’s definitely uncomfortable when you’re – at the time, I was actually a virgin, so I had no idea what I was doing.

“I was very nervous, very scared, and then I look over to Video Village [the nickname given to the area around the monitor on set] and my mum is eating a handful of popcorn talking to the producers.
"She was having the time of her life!"
Yep, imagine your mum eating popcorn as you film your first sex scene.
Still, she's not the only mum that's presence was felt on the film, when speaking to Howard Stern a few years ago, Rogen revealed his mum came up with a ‘pretty dark’ joke, and he and Goldberg decided to add it to the script.

Rogen told Stern: “There’s a joke in Superbad where, at the end, one of the kids - McLovin’ - is using a fake ID the whole movie - so the cops think he’s like 23.
"And then at the end of the movie he finally has sex with a girl who’s actually his age, but the cops catch him and think he’s having sex with an underage girl and arrest him for statutory rape. My mum came up with that joke."
Rogen added: "She read a very early draft of the script and she’s like, ‘it’s funny if the cops arrest him for statutory rape cause they think he’s too old’. And I was like, ‘that’s a solid joke, mum’."

We're starting to wonder if the mums should make their own movie.
