Season five of the popular Netflix series Cobra Kai has already been hailed as the 'best yet' just hours after its release on the streaming platform.
The much-anticipated new season continues the story of Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio, and actor William Zabka, who plays Johnny Lawrence.

Netflix released all 10 episodes of the season this morning (Friday), and fans have been providing their thoughts on social media.
Currently, it is quite difficult to find a negative review to Cobra Kai season five as reaction pours in.
One user on Twitter said: "Cobra Kai season 5 absolutely took the floor! And what an ending.
"Not only did the feud between many characters end, the fights were top notch as well!

A third commenter had very high praise for the new season, too: "Just finished Cobra Kai season 5: yet another fantastic season."

A final user also heaped praise on the series with a special mention for the final episode: "Just finished S5 of Cobra Kai, no doubt best season yet.

Cobra Kai season five has also been received well by industry critics.
Review-aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes has season five down as a perfect score from critics, and the same grades from audience's too.

On Metacritic, the latest season of Cobra Kai sits on a 79/100 critic score, however, this is based on just six critics' scores currently and is likely to change.
Cobra Kai first hit our screens in 2018 with its first season of The Karate Kid adaptation.
Four years later, it is now one of the most popular series on Netflix and series producers will hope it can bring even more fans on-board with the newest season.
